Winter Break Parking
Enforcement will continue through winter break on every day the university is open, but permit holders may utilize the resident reserved parking lots while students are away from Dec. 16 – Jan. 12. If you have any questions, contact the parking office at 479-575-7275.
Athletic Parking Info
WHAT EVERY MOTORIST SHOULD KNOW – Certain parking areas need to be vacated before major University of Arkansas sporting events (football, men’s basketball, and women’s basketball). To get vacate notifications on your Outlook calendar, simply go to the calendar app within Outlook and follow these instructions:
New Outlook:
- Select "Calendar" from your Outlook email
- Add calendar
- Add from directory
- Select your UARK account
- Type in "PARK: Athletic Events"
- Add to - My calendars
- Select "Add"
Old Outlook:
- Right click on “My Calendars” heading
- Select “Add Calendar” then “open shared calendar”
- Enter the name “PARK: Athletic Events” then click OK. You should then see the calendar on your list.
In Outlook for Mac
- Click on File
- Choose “Open”
- Choose “Shared Calendar”
- In dialog box search for the shared calendar PARK: Athletic Events
- Choose calendar
Please ensure your calendar is selected under “My Calendars” in the left-hand margin so that it is visible on your daily calendar.
FOOTBALL – Home football games take place on Saturday, but the parking areas that are needed must be vacated on Friday evening before the game. Beginning at 12 midnight, they began relocating the vehicles that should have been moved. This is done to make way for game day crowds. BASKETBALL - For basketball games on weeknights, athletic parking areas should be vacated three hours prior to tip-off but not before 5 p.m. For basketball games played on Saturday or Sunday, athletic parking areas should be vacated no later than three hours before game time. For students who live on campus, Transit and Parking recommends that you move your vehicle on Friday night before home Saturday games, or on Saturday night before Sunday home games. Harmon Permits for Sale
Haven’t had the chance to buy a permit for the Harmon Garage? Well, you can still do so! We have open spaces in Harmon available now to all students. If you would like to purchase a Harmon Garage permit, send an email to parking@uark.edu. Make sure you know your student ID number and your vehicle information. The price will be pro-rated for the rest of the school year.
Need to Find a Spot? Try Lot 500
Lot 500 on Beechwood Avenue is a great alternative parking option if you’re having trouble finding a spot on campus. Razorback Transit Route 48 picks up at Lot 500 every 15 minutes during peak service and returns to the Union Station at the center of campus.
